About Us

BookAwardsOnline.com is designed, conceived, managed, programmed and written by Kevin Parker It is born out of a passion for fine literature. Our aim is to publicize award winning books -books that deserve to be read by as many people as possible!

Sources are drawn from the great sea of cyberspace , hard copy literature, publishers blurbs, media reports, official press releases and literary networks. This is underpinned with a vociferous reading appetite, but, regrettably, an ever-growing pile by the bed. It is a sister site to LiteraryAwards.com.au and LiteraryAwards.co.uk which focus on Australia and the UK respectively.

Kevin is also developing a Biodiversity information site biodiverselife.com.

Privacy Policy

Most web sites collect some sort of information about their visitors to determine how many visitors they get each month and what is popular on the site. Literary Awards notes such figures in order to help tailor content etc. but is only interested in overall statistic . Our sites web server is capable of providing details of IP addresses, internet service provider, the domain name and country of origin of that computer and the type of web browser being used. This information helps us to overcome technical problems inherent in some browsers and to target our content to where it is wanted.

In addition to statistics that the web server collects, the third party advertising agencies, and those that this site partners with, to stay up and running, may also collect certain information through the use of banner ads.

We have recently signed-up with Feedburner to help streamline our news feeds etc and thus are compiling a data-base of email addresses. SANE EARTH will not pass on this information to any third parties without express permission. Please checkout Feedburner's privacy policy if you have any concerns

By Arbitration

SANE EARTH may elect to resolve any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our sites by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. The arbitration shall be conducted in the STATE OF NSW, Australia, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Either you or we may seek any interim or preliminary relief from a court of competent jurisdiction in NSW, Australia necessary to protect the rights or property of you or SANE EARTH (or its agents, suppliers, and subcontractors) pending the completion of arbitration.

Miscellaneous

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms, including all terms, conditions and policies that are incorporated into these terms by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and SANE EARTH, and govern your use of our sites, superceding any prior agreements that you may have with us.

These Terms shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, and the parties irrevocably consent to bring any action to enforce these Terms before an arbitration panel or before a court of competent jurisdiction in NSW, Australia, if seeking interim or preliminary relief or enforcement of an arbitration award.

If any part of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Terms shall continue in effect.
